Jim White, candidate for Wake County Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor

About Jim White — Rooted in Wake County. Invested in Its Future.

My wife Karee and I have called Wake County home since 1992. We chose Southern Wake County because it offered something special—a place where small towns, working farms, open spaces, and growing communities existed together. Over the past three decades, we've watched Wake County become one of the most desirable places to live in America while experiencing the opportunities and challenges that come with rapid growth.

This isn't just where we live. It's home.

We raised our nine children here. Today, many of them have chosen to remain in Wake County, where they are building careers, raising families, and investing in the same community that shaped them. Our grandchildren are growing up here, giving us an even greater appreciation for the decisions we make today and the legacy we leave for future generations.

Our family owns property in Southern Wake County, where we have experienced firsthand the opportunities and responsibilities that come with caring for the land. Like many residents, we've watched neighboring farms become neighborhoods, forests become shopping centers, and quiet country roads become busy corridors. Growth has brought many benefits, but it has also reminded us that protecting our natural resources requires thoughtful planning and long-term stewardship.

My professional career has focused on solving complex problems through technology, innovation, and collaboration. Today I lead a company that helps strengthen food traceability and supply chains, giving me a unique perspective on agriculture, food systems, and the importance of healthy soil and clean water to both farmers and consumers.

I'm also proud to be an Army veteran, a father, a grandfather, and an advocate for families facing long-term challenges. My wife and I have devoted much of our lives to supporting military families, caregivers, and individuals living with chronic illness and disability through our nonprofit work.

I'm running for the Wake County Soil and Water Conservation District because I believe we can continue to grow without losing what makes Wake County exceptional. Protecting clean water, conserving productive farmland, supporting local agriculture, reducing flooding, and preserving open spaces aren't partisan issues—they're investments in the future of every resident.

This campaign isn't about looking backward or resisting change. It's about ensuring that as Wake County continues to grow, we remain committed to the balance that has made this community such a wonderful place to call home.

I'd be honored to earn your vote.
